With the recent introduction of K 1 PACE battery power cutter, Husqvarna Construction, a division of Husqvarna Group, took a big step forward to support professional users in the construction industry in the transition towards battery powered equipment for the heavy duty jobs.

The Red Dot Design Award is one of world’s largest design competitions and an internationally recognized seal of excellent design. In 2022, designers, design offices and manufacturers from around 60 countries entered products in the Red Dot Award in Product Design discipline. Following the motto “In search of good design and innovation”, the 48 international members of the Red Dot jury assessed each product.
The design features of the K 1 PACE which the Red Dot jury deemed to be outstanding deliver real operational benefits for professional users. As well as boosting productivity and efficiency, K 1 PACE offers cordless convenience, low vibrations, built in X-Halt TM brake function for operational safety and zero direct emissions.

K 1 PACE has an innovative combination of functions with a design characterized by the honest material and colors that guide the users how the machine is built up and how to interact with it,” said Gustav Landberg, Brand Design Director at Husqvarna Construction.
The PACE battery system, 94V with capacity up to 750Wh, can be utilized for more machines as the battery-powered family expands. In addition to the power cutters and battery system, diamond blades in 12" and 14"/300 and 350 mm have been optimized for battery operation.
