Husqvarna introduces the new PRIME™ family - developed for tough work environments

Seven years ago, Husqvarna moved the concrete cutting industry forward with the launch of its first high-frequency PRIME™ system. A lot has happened in the market since then, and it's now time for another major Husqvarna PRIME™ launch. This time, the focus has been on creating extremely sturdy, powerful equipment, developed for very demanding job sites.

The launch includes a new core drill motor – Husqvarna DM 700, and four new power cutters – Husqvarna K 7000, K 7000 Ring in 14- and 17-inch versions, and K 7000 Chain. This modular system is fully compatible with older PRIME™ equipment, making it easy for customers to upgrade and expand their machine fleets as their businesses grow. At the centre of the launch is the new water-cooled Husqvarna PP 70 power pack. It is enclosed in a sturdy, IP65-rated aluminium casing that protects the interior components from humidity, shocks and blows. The electrical connectors and operator’s interface are also newly designed to work securely in sludgy, dirty conditions.

Flexibel power supply

When it comes to electric power, Husqvarna PP 70 is more than flexible. The power can be supplied by whatever happens to be at hand, e.g. with 3-phase 200–480 V or 1-phase 115–240 V (for maximum output, 3-phase power supply is required).

The new Husqvarna DM 700 optimises core drilling from 80 to 600 mm

The new 6 kW drill motor in the PRIME™ family is equipped with a permanent magnet high-frequency motor that is completely maintenance-free. An interesting feature on Husqvarna DM 700 is the new motor control software, which works with the two-speed transmission to optimise the RPMs for drill bits from just 80 mm to 600 mm in diameter. DM 700 is water-cooled and has no air intake slots, meaning that it is completely sealed against dust, moisture and dirt. Despite its high power, DM 700 weighs only 13.6 kg.

The new Husqvarna K 7000 series with cutting depth up to 450 mm

Looking at the new 6 kW PRIME™ power cutters in the K 7000 series, it’s evident that Husqvarna is the market leader in handheld power cutting. The range includes a 16-inch power cutter, a ring cutter in both 17- and 14-inch versions, and a chain saw with a full 18-inch (450 mm) cutting depth. All power cutters in the K 7000 series are equipped with a new motor control, delivering a smoother stop function. Husqvarna is also launching a brand-new series of durable diamond chains and a guide bar providing higher overall performance, so you can expect deeper cutting with longer chain life. The new range includes both Gold and Silver level chains.

Compatible with older PRIME™ equipment

You can easily integrate your existing Husqvarna high-frequency electric and PRIME™ equipment to the new PRIME™ range, by using the adapter cable available as accessory.
