8.1 General transportation guidelines

  • Unit must be securely fasten during transportation with provided hook mounts on either side
  • Where possible, always transport in a closed vehicle
  • Avoid transporting in adverse weather conditions
  • Ensure safe practice when lifting and using ramps or winches.
  • If in doubt seek assistance when loading or unloading heavy equipment
  • Lock casters to be secured
  • Longopac to be emptied before transportation

8.2 Small dust extractor

Transportation of small dust extractors and slurry vacuums.

Small dust extractor

The S-, W- and A-line are small and very versatile dust and slurry extractors that can be transported inside a van. The S- and W-line can even be transported in smaller vehicles by laying them down and resting them on their metal frames. Ensure that the slurry inside the W-line extractors has been properly disposed of before laying it down.

Securing the load
  • Secure the machine with tightening straps.
  • Tools and other equipment must be secured separately.
  • Regularly check that the load is secure during transportation.

8.3 Large dust extractor

Transport of the T- and C-line can also be done with a van with high ceiling, as long as the van is equipped with a ramp. Follow the below instructions to make transport as easy as possible.

Loading and unloading using a ramp

  • Ensure that the ramp is intact, secured to both the vehicle and the ground and is free of anything that might make it slippery. (The vehicle being used for transportation must also be secured so that it cannot move).

Securing the load

  • Secure the machine with tightening straps.
  • Tools and other equipment must be secured separately.
  • Regularly check that the load is secure during transportation
Transportation of heavy duty dust extractors and pre-separators.

8.4 Storage guidelines

  • Be extremely careful when moving the machine with manual manoeuvring or on inclined surfaces. Even small inclines can result in forces that make it impossible to brake the machine by hand.
  • Store the equipment in a lockable area so that it is out of reach of children and unauthorized persons.
  • The machine should always be stored in a dry place when not in use.
  • Never store a vacuum without having a Longopac dust bag attached.
  • Never store electrical equipment where it can be exposed to water.
  • Always clean the slurry collectors and run clean water through the pump before placing in storage.
