“SmartGuard is an extended blade guard design which reduces the likelihood of accidents and circumstances when a kickback may occur as it emphasises correct technique and correct cutting zone", says Mattias Holmdahl, Global Product Manager for Power Cutters.

Husqvarna SmartGuard is developed to reduce the likelihood of accidents or severe injuries in circumstances when a kickback may occur. It enhances safety when cutting hard materials in confined spaces e.g. pipe cutting. It’s designed to guide the operator to start cutting in the correct cutting zone and to visually inspect the condition to ensure a secure functionality.

Husqvarna SmartGuard is also available as an accessory retrofittable on Husqvarna K 770 and K 970 14'' power cutters.

Making it easy to work smarter with safety and confidence

Husqvarna S series blades for handheld machines feature a number of intuitive and immediately recognisable indicators. These intelligent features will make it easier to pick the right blade and mount it quickly and correctly. And once in use, the indicators will make working easier and safer, making the amount of wear easy-to-survey, adding to the overall safety of the user.

Side clearance

To reduce the risk related to pinching and/or kickbacks, the blades feature a thickness differentiator that provides a clear, instant visual indicator for the blade's side clearance.

Directional arrow

The directional arrow reduces the risk of mounting the blade the wrong way. By always having a clear-cut view of the blade’s intended rotating direction, mounting will be safer, easier and more intuitive.

Measuring holes

The measuring holes are a truly convenient way to measure the wear of their blades between uses. This is especially beneficial for rental businesses, providing an easy way to keep tabs on the wear of their equipment.

Wear indicator

In order to provide a reliable indicator for when it’s time to change the blade, the segment’s height clearly shows the maximum approved wear-out level of the diamond part.

Application marker

Each blade is fitted with a clear marker, highlighting its intended application, making it faster and easier to pick the right blade, depending on the task at hand.
